George in the East, London on the 13th June 1820. The Church record (1820 Page 31 No.91) identifies the groom's father, Daniel
AXTELL (1775-1828), as a witness. William Daniel AXTELL and Susanna Ann PATON had three known children.

William Daniel AXTELL (Engineer), and his wife Susanna Anne PATON. William Daniel was
baptised at St Anne’s Church, Limehouse, Middlesex, on the 25th December 1825. The Church record (1825 No.1324) identifies William Daniel AXTELL
(Engineer) and his wife Susanna Anne as the parents, living in Limehouse, Middlesex. Also Baptised that day was the
younger sister of William Daniel, Susanna Anne, born 21st July 1824.
1824/1825
Susanna Anne AXTELL (1824-____), born the 21st July 1824, was the second known child born to William Daniel AXTELL
(Engineer), and his wife Susanna Anne PATON. Susanna Anne was baptised at St Anne’s Church,
Limehouse, Middlesex, on the 25th December 1825. The Church record (1825 No.1325) identifies William Daniel AXTELL (Engineer) and his wife
Susanna Anne as the parents, living in Limehouse, Middlesex. Also Baptised that day was Susanna Anne’s
older brother, William Daniel, born 17th June 1821.

Maria Louisa AXTELL (1826-1886), born 4th May 1826, was the last known child born to William Daniel AXTELL (Engineer),
and his wife Susanna Anne PATON. Maria Louisa was baptised at St Anne’s Church, Limehouse, Middlesex,
on the 28th May 1826. The Church record (1826 Page 1831 No.1464) identifies Maria Louisa as the daughter of William Daniel
AXTELL (Engineer) and Susannah Anne, living in Limehouse. At the time of the 1841 Census (6th/7th June 1841)
(HO 107/682/11) Maria AXTELL (16) was recorded as living at Derby Street, Marylebone, St Pancras. Maria
Louisa never married, and died aged 60 at 81 Shepherdess Walk, Shoreditch, Hoxton New Town, Middlesex, on the 26th July 1886.

William Daniel AXTELL (1821-____) (Full Age) (Bachelor) (French Polisher), married Mary Ann TURNBULL
(1824-____) (Minor) (Spinster) (Shoe Binder) in the Parish Church, St Leonard’s, Shoreditch, Middlesex, on the 16th May 1842. The marriage record
identifies the groom’s father as William AXTELL (Engineer). Maria AXTELL was a witness at the ceremony. William Daniel
and Mary Ann had eight known children.

Susanna Anne AXTELL Spinster (Servant) (1824-____), married Dennis Napoleon Lavellet HALEY (1817-1867)
(Lapidary), in the Parish Church, Parish of St Leonard’s, Shoreditch, Middlesex, on the 15th April 1849. The marriage certificate identifies the
brides father as, William Daniel AXTELL (Engineer). The bride was probably illiterate, she did not sign her name, but made her mark in the
register. Susanna Anne and Dennis Napoleon had seven known children. Dennis
Napoleon Lavellet HEALEY died at 1 North Avenue, Clerkenwell, on the 9th July 1867, he was 50.
1879
On the 9th September 1879, Susanna Ann ELY (HEALEY) née AXTELL (1824-____) (54) (Widow), married
Charles HIGGS ( 1824-____) (53) (Widower) (Plasterer), in the Parish Church, Parish of St Leonard’s, Shoreditch, Middlesex.
The marriage certificate identifies the brides father as, William Daniel AXTELL (Contractor). The brides name (HEALEY) was incorrectly spelt
as ELY on the register, she also did not sign the marriage record but only made her mark X, suggesting that she was in fact illiterate.
Ongoing research may provide the necessary evidence needed to confirm the dates William Daniel AXTELL and his wife Susanna Ann, died.
